To contextualize and visually make the gallery edition (solely exploratory) of game Story Generating Apparatus come to life, an entire section
of the art gallery the game was shown at in its developing stages (Holland Project, Reno, NV, USA) was converted into a vintage arcade.
The artist collaborated with local group Tip Top Amusement to acquire four arcade machines to fill the space, including Crystal Castles,
Pole Position, Space Mission, and Donkey Kong Jr. Out of the artist's pocket, accumulating items such as blinking wall neon, red-white
blue bulb lighting above, and iconic glow-in-the-dark flooring were purchased to fill the room and immerse to great detail.
The icing on the cake was the artist's own hand-built arcade cabinet from raw materials to juxtapose the machines around.
It was designed specifically with the Oculus hardware in mind to house Apparatus and anchor a strong physical component
into the heavy new media atmosphere. In the end, the physical and digital elements played off one another to create
a bizarre, surreal, and successful representation of an old era and what such archival of the 'past' can say about the now.
